Of Special Interest in 2014

2014 sees the Commemoration of 100 years since the start of WW1. Our Chambre d'hôte is situated 10 miles (15 km) from the border of the department of the Somme and within one hour's drive of the main Battlefield sites, including: St. Valéry sur Somme, Abbeville, Doullens, Arras, St. Omer and Albert. Guests will be provided with an explanatory leaflet of the particular Battles fought within these areas
treport

The historic port of Dieppe, with its markets, seafood restaurants, boutiques, Chateau Museum and Casino is within an hour's drive. The attractive seaside town of Le Tréport (pictured) is worth a visit and there you can enjoy a wide range of seafood restaurants and a superb daily fish market.

Our local Tourist Offices provide a great deal of literature, in several languages, about the interesting and varied places to visit in this area.

For cycling enthusiasts, the area offers beautiful scenery along quiet country roads, quiet forests, gentle hills and valleys of several local rivers. The famous "Avenue Verte" is the old railway line which runs between Dieppe & Neufchâtel-en-Bray. This is a well maintained path dedicated to walkers and cyclists and very popular with visitors from all over the world.
